**Telehealth Medicare Legislation Change Update:
Private Telehealth Fees with NO Medicare Rebate apply to ALL patients who have not had a face-to-face appointment at our practice in the past 12 months. 
Unfortunately, this means that all new patients are required to have a private Telehealth consultation with no Medicare Rebate, until they are able to attend a face-to-face appointment at the practice, due to recent Medicare Legislative changes. 

 

Our PRACTICE REMAINS OPEN with normal hours.  Our WAITING ROOM is only available to patients with specific conditions including mobility issues.  Please notify our staff upon arrival if you have any specific needs requiring the waiting room.   

We’ve pro-actively taken these strict preventative measures to protect you, your family, other patients, our staff & the greater community.  There are NO confirmed cases through our practice to date.

 

**Please ENABLE & ANSWER ALL PRIVATE or UNKNOWN CALLS, otherwise you will MISS OUR CALLS!   Our Doctors, Psychologists & Reception team may be calling from an unknown or private line.

Face-to-Face Appointments are AVAILABLE DAILY from MONDAY to FRIDAY.  This is done UNDER STRICT ACCORDANCE  WITH OUR FACE-TO-FACE ATTENDANCE PROCEDURE to maintain safety for you & your family.  

The practice attendance procedure requires everyone entering the clinic, to answer screening questions truthfully, prior to being given instructions to enter the practice.   All persons entering the clinic must wear a mask & sanitise their hands.

You are required to answer & describe your symptoms/circumstances honestly.   Anyone who misleads, withholds or provide dishonest answers to our screening questions, at any time, will unfortunately, be required to leave the premises immediately.    

This is an absolutely necessary measure to maintain a safe environment for everyone.  We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

 

If you have a Face-to-Face Appointment or specifically instructed by the Doctor to present to the practice: 

  • When you arrive please wait outside AND phone reception on 3470 1599 to CHECK-INIf our phone lines are busy, please retry, otherwise we will call you to confirm at your appointment time.  Our Doctors may run late, but rest assured they will call as soon as they are able.
  • Keep your phone on STAND-BY, and remain CLOSE-BY for further instructions from your Doctor. 
  • Check that your phone is NOT set to silence/block unknown or private number calls.
  • Please ensure that you truthfully answer our screening questions.
  • You will be required to wear a mask & sanitise your hands properly before entering the clinic.  If you do not have a mask, we will supply you with one upon entry.
  • Your Doctor will escort you into the clinic when they are ready to see you. 

 

We have carefully considered these measures, and we understand the inconvenience & inefficiencies they create.  However, our priority to protect you, your family, other patients, our staff, and the community, from ANY POTENTIAL SPREAD, and these measures enable us to achieve an appropriate level of safety, in what would otherwise be a high risk environment

OPEN 7 DAYS – Mixed Billing Practice

Payment is required on the day of the consultation, and can be made by Cash, Eftpos or Credit Card (excluding Diners/Amex cards). 
For Telehealth consultations, our Reception team will call you after your appointment, to process payment over the phone. 

Telehealth Consultation Fees are eligible for Medicare Rebate, with our Doctors, ONLY IF you have had a face-to-face appointment at our practice in the last 12 months.

Monday-Friday:
Bulk Billing available for those who are eligible for Medicare Rebate AND who also have Concession (Pension/Concession Card, Veterans Affairs) or 15 years old and younger.

Weekends & some Public Holidays (currently only via Telehealth until further notice):
Private Fees apply, with a reduced fee for those who are eligible for Medicare Rebate AND who also have Concession or 15 years old and younger.

APPOINTMENTS 
Book ONLINE anytime via our website (this is the quickest way, because our phone lines do become very busy), or call reception from Monday-Friday 3470 1599.

For any face-to-face appointments, please book by calling us on 3470 1599 because the online booking system does not accommodate for face-to-face appointments.

We require at least 24 hours notice for ALL cancellations to accommodate for the needs of other patients.  A fee of $55 applies for cancellations less than 24 hours.

WALK-IN CLINIC – CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
There is a private fee for our walk-in clinic with a Medicare rebate (This is time based).

The waiting time for our walk-in clinic can be variable.  Approximate waiting time for our walk-in clinic can be up to 1-2 hours.  Walk-in appointments are generally short consultations only.

If you need more time with the doctor, please advise our receptionist when making your appointment. Emergencies and urgent medical problems will always take priority.

AFTER HOURS/HOME VISITS
For after hours emergencies, contact the Home Doctor Services on 13 SICK.  Their operation hours are:

From 6pm – 8am weekdays and Saturdays from 12 noon
All day Sundays, and Public Holidays

Alternatively, you can present to your nearest Emergency Department.

Doctors can make home visits to regular patients of our practice where it is safe and reasonable. This is done at the Doctor’s discretion.

OUR PRACTICE
Our friendly reception staff are available to make appointments or help in any way.  Please talk the Practice Manager if you have any complaints or suggestions.  All patient information and medical records are strictly confidential.

We are also a training practice which means we have Registrars who are fully qualified doctors that are developing their skills in General Practice.  Please see “Our Registrars” page for more information.

TEST RESULTS
Please make a follow up appointment with your regular Doctor to discuss your test results.  Reception Staff cannot give out tests results over the phone.  All results must be discussed with your Doctor for safety and legal reasons.

According to our accreditation standards, email is not encrypted and therefore, is regarded as not secure.  Please do not transfer clinical and confidential information via email as it may not be processed.
