QLD Health is contact tracing a confirmed case of Covid-19 who was a patron at Peak Thai Restaurant, Orion Shopping Centre Springfield, on Sunday 26th July 2020.
If you have been exposed please self isolate immediately, and call your Doctor to assess and work out the next step.
Due to changes in the Medicare Telehealth legislation from Monday 20 July 2020:
To be eligible for Bulk Billed Telehealth with a doctor, patients MUST have had a face-to-face appointment at the practice, in the past 12 months, unless it for a child under 12 months of age.
Based on the new Medicare legislation changes, Private Telehealth fees with NO Medicare rebate, will apply to all new patients, and patients who have not have not had at least one face-to-face appointment at the practice in the past 12 months.

Due to shortage of protective equipment, we are unable to provide quality emergency care SAFELY, in the event of a face-to-face medical emergency.
SATURDAYS & SUNDAYS: ONLY TELEHEALTH Phone Consults are available, as the practice is UNATTENDED ONSITE on Weekends.
Please book ONLINE, for a Phone Consultation, with our Doctors or Psychologists, if you need medical support, over the Weekend.
Our reception team is available Monday – Friday from 8am-6pm (excluding Public Holidays). For availability on Public Holidays, please check our Facebook page updates.

A Telehealth Phone Consult MUST always be booked FIRST.
If the Doctor deems a physical examination is safe & necessary during your phone consult, you will be given specific instructions for this. This ensures safety for you & everyone.
If you have been specifically instructed by the Dr to present to the practice (eg vaccination, examination):
Please ensure you wear a mask & sanitise your hands properly before presenting/entering the clinic.
Please note that only maximum of 2 people are permitted to present (eg Parent plus ONE child). This maximum number is non-negotiable for safety reasons.
Park on the rooftop car park nearby, AND phone reception on 3470 1599 to CHECK-IN. If our phone lines are busy, please retry, otherwise we will call you to confirm at your appointment time. Please note that our Drs may run late, but rest assured they will call as soon as they are able.
Keep your phone on STAND-BY, and remain CLOSE-BY for further instructions from your Dr.
Check that your phone is NOT set to silence/block unknown or private number calls.

OPEN 7 DAYS – Mixed Billing Practice
From 20 July 2020, Telehealth Phone Consultations with our Doctors can only be Bulk-Billed if you have had a face to face appointment with us in the last 12 months, or if for a child under 12 months. New patients will need to have a private Telehealth appointment with no Medicare Rebate as of Monday 20th July 2020 due to the changes from Department of Health.
Weekends unattended onsite (please Book Online) – BUT Home Phone Consultations are Available 7 Days a week (including some Public Holidays).
Bulk Billing is available from Monday-Friday for Concession Card Holders, Veterans Affairs and Children 15 years and younger with an current Medicare Card.

We require at least 24 hours notice for ALL cancellations to accommodate for the needs of other patients. A fee of $55 applies for cancellations less than 24 hours.
WALK-IN CLINIC – CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
There is a private fee for our walk-in clinic with a Medicare rebate (This is time based).
The waiting time for our walk-in clinic can be variable. Approximate waiting time for our walk-in clinic can be up to 1-2 hours. Walk-in appointments are generally short consultations only.
If you need more time with the doctor, please advise our receptionist when making your appointment. Emergencies and urgent medical problems will always take priority.
AFTER HOURS/HOME VISITS
For after hours emergencies, contact the Home Doctor Services on 13 SICK. Their operation hours are:
From 6pm – 8am weekdays and Saturdays from 12 noon
All day Sundays, and Public Holidays
Alternatively, you can present to your nearest Emergency Department.
Doctors can make home visits to regular patients of our practice where it is safe and reasonable. This is done at the Doctor’s discretion.
Our friendly reception staff are available to make appointments or help in any way. Please talk the Practice Manager if you have any complaints or suggestions. All patient information and medical records are strictly confidential.
We are also a training practice which means we have Registrars who are fully qualified doctors that are developing their skills in General Practice. Please see “Our Registrars” page for more information.
Please make a follow up appointment with your regular Doctor to discuss your test results. Reception Staff cannot give out tests results over the phone. All results must be discussed with your Doctor for safety and legal reasons.
According to our accreditation standards, email is not encrypted and therefore, is regarded as not secure. Please do not transfer clinical and confidential information via email as it may not be processed.
